Keys Offers Senior Citizens / Disabled Veterans Discount
KEY WEST – Enrollment for Keys Energy Services’ (KEYS) discount program for qualifying Senior Citizens or Disabled American Veterans residential customers is now open. Enrollment for this program runs until March 31st and customers who have previously participated in the program must re-qualify. Once qualified, customers will receive a $9.53 discount on their monthly energy bills in 2016.
In order to qualify for the Senior Citizen/ Disabled American Veterans Discount, the customer of record must be at least 62 years of age on the date of application. Any Disabled American Veteran wishing to qualify for this program must be a totally or permanently disabled American Veteran on the date of application. Annual income for the residential household must not exceed $31,668 for 2016. This figure is based on the maximum benefits paid by Social Security.
All applications for the discount must be completed, signed and returned to KEYS no later than March 31st.
Applications for this program have been mailed to all KEYS’ customers who have previously qualified. New applicants may pick-up an application form at KEYS’ Temporary Customer Service Center in Key West at 927 Eaton Street.
