Marathon Man Found Dead In The Water

A 30 year old Marathon man was found dead Monday in the water offshore of Coco Plum Drive in Marathon.

A woman flagged down Key Colony Beach Officer Griffith just after 7 a.m. and told the officer she’d seen a body in the water at 66 Coco Plum Drive. Paramedics were called and the body was pulled from the water. 30 year old Jacek Krempin was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Major Crimes Detective Nancy Torrijos, Krempin was last seen Sunday night by a woman friend who says he was drinking on a boat, offshore. There is no foul play suspected in his death. No indications of trauma were found on the body upon initial examination.
