FKCC Invites New Students to “Fast Track to Fall”
$100 Kick-Starter Scholarships; Free Application
KEY WEST, FL, July 27, 2015—Florida Keys Community College is holding three Fast Track to Fall Enrollment Expos to help new students quickly get on the pathway toward their academic goals this fall semester, which begins August 26. The Fast Track to Fall events will provide essential information about degree and certificate options as well as financial aid and payment plans. New students will receive a $100 Kick-Starter Scholarship from the FKCC Foundation. Those who submit a completed application during the event will not be charged an application fee, a savings of $30.
The Fast Track to Fall events will be held:
- Tuesday, August 11 at 5 p.m. at the Upper Keys Center in Tavernier
- Wednesday, August 12 at 6 p.m. at the Key West Campus
- Thursday, August 13 at 5 p.m. at the Middle Keys Center in Marathon
“Classes begin in a few short weeks, but there is still time to become an FKCC student this fall,” said Emily Drummond, FKCC Recruiter. “We are here to assist any student—new or returning—to develop a personal academic plan. We will help them select a degree, register for courses, order their books, explore financial aid options, and have them in a mindset to be successful on day one of classes.”
Prospective students are encouraged to bring the following items, if readily available, to further expedite the process:
- Transcripts (college and high school)
- Two forms of proof of Florida residency
- Official test scores (SAT, ACT, and/or PERT)
