It is a striking reality that America is a depraved addict for the word’s energy. This makes us a minion to those who deal the “drugs” we need on a daily basis. Regardless of our lofty values and championship of civil rights, we turn the other cheek to the atrocities of our friends when they have something we need. Those “friends” are only such out of political necessity because they can provide the next fix. Unlike those martyrs who are willing to die for their faith, America becomes mute to satisfy its intoxication. If we become hypocrites to our own beliefs, do any of us believe we will see the face of God?
