College invites high school grads, parents to learn about CFK opportunities at virtual event

KEY WEST, FL, June 1, 2020—The College of the Florida Keys (CFK) invites the recent graduates of Keys’ high schools and their parents to learn more about the college opportunities available locally at CFK through a virtual information session on Wednesday, June 10 at 5:30 p.m. Topics of the “High School to CFK” event will include:

  • Academic programs, including bachelor’s degrees in business, hospitality, marine science, and nursing
  • Guaranteed transfer to Florida universities with an Associate in Arts degree
  • Paying for college: cost comparisons, financial aid, scholarships, payment plans
  • New campus safety measures
  • Steps to apply to CFK

“While it is a very exciting time for Class of 2020, it is also very uncertain. The College of the Florida Keys is here for our local graduates and their families offering quality education, close to home, as we have for 55 years,” said Dr. Jonathan Gueverra, CFK President. “We encourage the graduates to continue to learn and to invest in a future beyond COVID-19 by earning a degree at CFK—and starting this fall.”

Attendees of the “High School to CFK” event will receive a code to waive the $30 application fee. Registration for the event is required. Visit the College’s website at www.fkcc.edu/HS-to-CFK to learn more and to register.
